Robert V. Ayres
Founder, Owner
Robert V. Ayres is a U.S. Army veteran, entrepreneur, author, and the founder of Liberty Pest Services. Raised in San Leandro, California, Robert served in the United States Army with a deployment to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
After completing his military service, Robert started his career in the pest control industry back in 2004. His years of hands-on experience gave him a clear understanding of pest behavior, inspection practices, treatment methods, customer service, and the importance of protecting homes and businesses correctly.
In 2024, Robert founded Liberty Pest Services to create a different kind of pest control company. His goal was to provide customers with honest recommendations, quality workmanship, straightforward pricing, and dependable service without misleading promotions or unnecessary long-term contracts with hidden fees.
Robert remains directly involved in inspections, treatments, customer communication, and the daily operation of Liberty Pest Services. He believes customers deserve to understand what is happening on their property, why a particular service is recommended, and what can be done to help prevent future pest activity.
His military background continues to influence the way he leads Liberty Pest Services through discipline, accountability, preparation, attention to detail, and service to others.
Beyond Pest Management
Robert is also a published author and songwriter whose work focuses on resilience, personal growth, rebuilding, purpose, and perseverance. He has been featured on Inside Success TV’s Operation CEO and the Roots of Ambition podcast, where he shared his journey from military service and adversity to entrepreneurship and building Liberty Pest Services.
Robert is also a strong advocate for veteran mental health. Drawing from his own experiences, he has helped create local support programs for active-duty military members and veterans. His goal is to help build stronger connections, encourage veterans to reach out for support, and remind every service member and veteran of one important message: You are not alone.
Chris Nast
Pest Control Route Manager
Chris Nast brings professional pest control experience and a strong service mindset to Liberty Pest Services. He previously served for six years in the Army National Guard as a chemical specialist and has over five years of experience in the pest control industry.
Chris assists customers with general pest control, inspections, ongoing protection, and pest-related concerns throughout Liberty’s service areas. His friendly personality, experience, and ability to make customers feel comfortable have made him a valued part of the Liberty team.
Chris approaches each property with attention to detail and takes the time to address each customer’s specific concerns. His military background and pest management experience support Liberty’s commitment to discipline, reliability, and quality service.
Beyond Pest Management
When Chris is not helping customers protect their properties, you will likely find him outdoors with a fishing pole in his hand. He enjoys spending time with his family and his dog, exploring the outdoors, and always searching for the next great fishing spot. If you know a hidden place where the fish are biting, Chris will probably want to hear about it.

Liberty the Eagle was imagined in 2017, but he finally broke out of his shell in 2024 when Liberty Pest Services was founded. Since then, he has proudly served as the fearless protector, marketing guru, and lovable face of the company.
With sharp eyes, powerful instincts, and zero tolerance for unwanted guests, Liberty keeps watch over local homes and businesses. Rodents and insects may be good at hiding, but they are no match for an eagle on pest patrol.
As a natural predator, Liberty represents strength, freedom, and protection. He stands guard against anything that crawls, scurries, or tries to move in without paying rent. When pests threaten your peace, Liberty is ready to spread his wings and help take back your space.
But do not let his serious look fool you. Liberty also loves sharing helpful pest tips, seasonal reminders, company updates, and a few laughs along the way. His mission is simple: protect homes, chase pests, and bring joy to every community he serves.
